Adeyemi Adeniji
Adeyemi graduated from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife with a B.Sc (geology) in 1980. He started his professional career with Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) as a geologist.

After a 5 year stint in Shell, he joined Geotrex Systems Ltd, the first petroleum E&P consulting outfit in Nigeria as one of its pioneering staff. He rose to the post of Vice President and a Director before leaving for Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPN).

At MPN, Yemi worked in the Exploration, Production and Venture Relations arms of the company. He was a Lead Geologist and then an Asset Team Coordinator (ATC). As an ATC, he led his team to move the production of their asset from 44Kbopd to 115Kbopd within two years, upturning the established peak production of the asset at 90Kbopd by the application of diverse innovations. During this period, he pioneered the proposal and ultimate drilling of horizontal wells with the longest lateral section of 4000ft, in ExxonMobil organization.

He is a member of NMGS, NAPE, SEG and NIM. He is married with children.
